Dear Investor,
I want to provide you with an important update regarding allegations of misconduct made by a former IFM Investors employee, Ms Nathalie Abildgaard.
We have now reached a confidential settlement in this matter, which brings an end to the legal case before the UK’s Employment Tribunal.
We are pleased there is a final resolution of this matter and feel strongly that this settlement is in the best interests of Ms Abildgaard, as well as IFM and our clients, investors and employees.
This has been a difficult experience for many of those with whom we have a trusted relationship. IFM Investors very much regrets the time it has taken to reach a resolution, and we thank you for your understanding and continued support.
I want to assure you that IFM Investors does not tolerate sexual harassment or workplace misconduct of any kind and we feel strongly that this incident does not reflect the culture or values of our firm. We take our responsibility very seriously to provide a workplace where values of respect and equality are not just words on a page, but are truly part of our culture and daily lived experience.
While we have made advances in workplace gender equality that outdo industry averages, we are committed to learning from this experience, and ensuring that our culture is second to none.
We have initiated a global review of our workplace culture by international consultancy firm Korn Ferry to support this process and importantly we will enact all of its final recommendations to improve our business.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. |
