Dear Investor,
We are pleased to share that Brookfield has become a signatory to the United Nations-supported Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), underscoring the Firm’s ongoing commitment to responsible investment and environmental, social and governance (ESG) best practices. The PRI is one of the world’s leading proponents of responsible investing, with an emphasis on understanding the investment implications of ESG factors and supporting an international network of investor signatories in incorporating these factors into their investment and ownership decisions. We have a long history of embedding ESG considerations into our operations. Our ESG principles are well-aligned with the PRI. Formally joining as a signatory further demonstrates our deep commitment to ESG best practices, which we view as pivotal to successfully managing our operations and investments over the long term. As a signatory, Brookfield will report to the PRI on our ESG efforts on an annual basis, with our initial report being for the 2021 calendar year. For more information about Brookfield’s ESG approach and progress, please visit Sincerely, Craig Noble |
