Brookfield Announces $20 Billion Close of BIF IV

Dear Investors,
Brookfield is pleased to announce the closing of Brookfield Infrastructure Fund IV (“BIF IV” or the “Fund”) with total equity commitments of $20 billion. We wanted to take the opportunity to thank you again for your support. Based on strong investor demand, BIF IV attracted capital commitments from a diverse group of 170 institutional investors from across the globe. Approximately 75% of the third-party capital came from existing Brookfield investors, underscoring our focus on building long-term relationships with our limited partners. Brookfield has committed $5 billion, or 25% of BIF IV, highlighting the Firm’s longstanding alignment of interests with its investors. The Fund is off to a great start, having already invested or committed approximately $8 billion, or 40% of its capital, to a diversified set of leading infrastructure businesses, including the largest short-haul rail operator in North America, natural gas pipelines in North America, data infrastructure businesses in South America, New Zealand, India and the U.K., and a global portfolio of renewable power assets. We are also pleased with the investment opportunities that we continue to see across our target markets. We look forward to providing you with an update on the Fund’s initiatives during our quarterly webcast on March 9. Invitations for this webcast will be sent by email and details will also be available on the Brookfield Investor Portal. Should you have any questions in the meantime, please feel free to reach out to your relationship manager or any member of our team. Regards, Sam Pollock February 7, 2020 |
